About

Hi, I’m Zoapik 👋

I’m a Seoul local who has been writing honest reviews of restaurants, cafés and beauty spots for years — more than 250 of them so far on my Korean blog. Zoapik is where I share the best of those picks, rewritten in plain English for travelers.

The name is a little wordplay: zoa (좋아) means “I like it” or “good” in Korean, and pick is, well, a pick. Zoa + Pick = places I genuinely liked.

What you’ll find here

  • Seoul Eats — neighborhood restaurants locals actually line up for, from handmade udon to late-night pocha (casual Korean pubs).
  • Cafés — bakeries and coffee spots worth a detour.
  • K-Beauty & Skin Care — facials, head spas and hair clinics, with what each treatment is really like.
  • Beyond Seoul — day trips and weekend escapes, from sea fishing platforms to small-town markets.
  • Travel Tips — the practical stuff: maps, reservations and how things work in Korea.

How I review

  • I visit every place myself and take my own photos.
  • Every post includes the practical details you need: the Korean address to show a taxi driver, the nearest subway exit, opening hours, break times and prices in won.
  • Sponsored visits are always labeled. When a place invites me, the post says so at the top. When I paid, it says that too. Either way, the opinions are my own.
  • Things change. Hours and prices in Korea move fast, so please double-check before you go — and tell me if something is out of date.
