Spa Fine, Bangbae: The Best Hands-On Back Massage I Have Had in Seoul
📍 Seoul / Seocho · Near Naebang Stn. (Line 7)
My upper back and shoulders had been knotted for weeks from sitting at a desk all day. I went looking for a spa in Bangbae-dong and ended up at Spa Fine. Honestly, it was the best massage I have ever had — I wish I had found it sooner.

Finding the 6th floor
From the Bangbae Saigil bus stop, head toward Naebang Station until you reach Hamjibak Intersection, then turn left. The spa is in the building to the right of Dessert39 (Bangbae Seorae branch). Take the elevator to the 6th floor and the SPA FINE sign is right in front of you. If you drive, there is parking inside the building.

Visiting from abroad? Booking is in Korean (via Naver), so I recommend sending a message on Instagram first to check availability.
A calm, dim space
The lighting is soft and the mood changes the moment you open the door. There is a brick wall with the logo, and the rooms are laid out along a corridor. They even have separate areas for head therapy and foot therapy — something I had not seen at other spas in this area.

Herbal tea while you wait
After a short consultation, you choose a herbal tea: lavender, chamomile, peppermint, rosemary or rose. A sign on the wall shows the spa is officially certified for LPG (Lipomassage) — described as a global-standard program.

Changing room and powder room
There is a separate changing room with a gown and slippers ready — the gown is silk, which felt lovely. A powder room means you can freshen up before you leave.

Quiet private rooms
Each treatment room has its own door, so you cannot hear anything from outside, and the bed gets a fresh face cover for every guest. I have been to quite a few spas around Seocho, and very few are this quiet.
The back treatment — the real deal
Everything is done by hand. The therapist found exactly where my muscles were knotted and worked them loose, checking the pressure on sore spots and adjusting as needed. I could feel my shoulders and upper back releasing as she worked. Now I understand why people say manual massage is different. It was blissful from start to finish.

A thorough finish
After my back, she moved on to my neck and shoulders, then finished by smoothing along my head, neckline and jaw. When I sat up, my shoulders felt so much lighter — like a weight had been lifted.

They were offering a first-visit discount when I went, so ask about it when you book.
Zoapik’s verdict
– Fully manual treatment that targets exactly where you are tight – Pressure is checked throughout, so nothing hurts – Shoulders and back feel noticeably lighter afterward – Private rooms with their own doors — quiet and cozy – Five herbal teas to choose from and a comfortable waiting area – Separate changing room and powder room – Parking in the building – Heads-up: closed Sundays, and Saturdays close at 19:00 – Heads-up: the first-visit discount is a promotion, so confirm when booking
I have tried a lot of massages, and this is now the only place I want to go. Next time I am trying their body care.
