High-End Beauty Lab, Ewha: A Fixed-Price Hair Salon That Rescued My Color-Damaged Hair
π Seoul / Ewha (Sinchon) Β· Ewha Womans Univ. Stn. (Line 2) Exit 1
Coloring my hair so often had left the ends dry, rough and frizzy, so I was tying it up almost every day. I went looking for a salon near Ewha Womans University and tried the “Cinderella Clinic” at High-End Beauty Lab. The stiffness of my bleached ends was gone, and my hair looked sleek without a chemical straightening treatment.

Getting there
Walk straight out of Exit 1 of Ewha Womans University Station and you will see a Mom’s Touch burger restaurant. The salon is on the 2nd floor of that building. The entrance is in the side alley around the corner from Mom’s Touch, and logos on every step guide you upstairs. Very few salons in this area are this close to the station.

Visiting from abroad? Booking is in Korean (via Naver), so I recommend calling or messaging the salon before you go to check availability.
A bright, spacious salon
Big windows greet you at the top of the stairs. Every seat has its own mirror, the chairs are spaced far apart, and the window seats look out over the street. The shampoo area is separate and everything is neatly organized.

Fixed prices β no surprises at checkout
You know the feeling: the price goes up at the end because your hair is “long” or “thick.” This salon uses a fixed-price system, so there are no add-on options and no extra charges mid-treatment. I paid exactly the amount I was quoted. They were also running an opening promotion when I visited β check before you go.
Before: dry, faded ends
My hair was long, but the color had faded toward the ends and they were splitting. Designer Min checked my hair carefully first. Instead of pushing a straightening perm, she explained what would actually suit my hair’s current condition.

The Cinderella Clinic, step by step
### 1. Layer-by-layer treatment After a shampoo, the clinic treatment is applied to the hair in thin sections rather than all at once. She spent extra time on the most damaged ends. The products are premium and the smell was not harsh at all.

2. Heat time with tea and snacks
Your hair is wrapped and you sit under a warm red-light heater β warm, not hot. They bring you tea and snacks while you wait, which I honestly enjoyed.

3. Smoothing while adding nutrients
This is the key step. Using a heated tool, she smooths the hair strand by strand. Unlike a chemical straightening perm, it adds nutrients while setting the texture, so there is no awkward bend at the roots β but the hair still looks sleek. It is best for hair that frizzes because of damage, not for strongly curly hair.

After: real shine
The split-looking ends were tidied up, and in the sunlight the shine was obvious. My hair looked neat even worn down, and my fingers slid straight through.

Designer Min was careful and kind from start to finish, checking in throughout and explaining every step. You can ask for her by name when you book.
