Viewtae Esthetic, Gwanghwamun: Bamboo Face Contouring & Pre-Wedding Skin Care by Cheonggyecheon
📍 Seoul / Gwanghwamun · Gwanghwamun Stn. (Line 5), Exit 5
This visit was sponsored by Viewtae Esthetic. As always, all opinions are my own.
Planning a wedding stressed me out in ways I did not expect, and my skin and face line took the hit. With my wedding photo shoot coming up, I kept noticing puffiness, a slightly uneven face and flat-looking cheeks. So I booked a contouring session at Viewtae Esthetic, a studio known for bridal care and face contouring right in central Seoul.

Getting there
Viewtae sits on the 6th floor of the Hyoryeong Building, right in front of Cheonggyecheon Stream. Four stations are a 5–7 minute walk away, and Gwanghwamun is the closest. There is a Texas bar on the ground floor, so the building is easy to spot. Take the elevator up to the 6th floor.

The building is right in the middle of the city, but inside it is quiet and private.
Visiting from abroad? Reservations are in Korean, so I recommend sending them a message on Instagram first to check availability and whether they can help in English.
A warm, private space
As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, the clean look caught my eye. The interior uses warm yellow tones, so it feels relaxed rather than clinical. Treatment rooms are private, so you do not have to worry about anyone watching.

On the day I went, there was a mix of office workers and brides-to-be coming in. The calm mood helped me relax right away.
A one-on-one consultation
The consultation was really thorough. I told them my wedding shoot and ceremony dates, and they explained which care would make sense on that timeline. They did not just push a package. First, they checked my face: flat front cheeks, asymmetry, jawline and tight muscles, all in detail.

They told me they cover contouring, asymmetry, V-line and lifting care, plus skin care by skin type — breakouts, pores, firmness and brightening. The staff were so kind that my mood lifted too.
Lockers and a full hair station
There are personal lockers for your things, and a vanity with a Dyson hair dryer, a hair iron and hair products. Dry shampoo is there too (a lifesaver!). If you have dinner plans or a photo shoot after your session, you can leave looking put-together.

The treatment: Sculpt Volume bamboo contouring
My program was Sculpt Volume, a bamboo face contouring care, done by the director herself.

Aroma oil to relax
She started with aroma oil to loosen my skin and muscles. The scent was lovely and I could feel my tense body letting go.
Bamboo and hand techniques
Then the real contouring began. I always thought contouring massage had to hurt, but she does not force things with heavy pressure. It felt more like she was carefully tidying up my facial muscles and lines, so I was comfortable the whole time. She combined bamboo sticks with hand techniques and worked on my scalp too. Releasing the muscles from the scalp down made my face feel so much lighter. She also linked it down through my neck, shoulders and décolletage — my favorite part.
Calming gel and a glow mask
Next came more aroma care and a calming gel for hydration. My skin gets red easily, so I was a bit worried, but there was no irritation at all. While the glow mask sat on my face, she massaged my neck, shoulders and décolletage again. Pure bliss. I nearly fell asleep.

How I looked after
After just one 60-minute session, my face line looked neater to me — especially my jawline and cheekbone line, and the overall balance. My skin felt moist and brighter, and with the puffiness gone, I looked more awake. My stiff shoulders felt light, too. I can see why so many brides come here before their photos.
Zoapik’s verdict
– Careful one-on-one consultation that checks your face first – Contouring without painful pressure – Bamboo and hand techniques that include the scalp, neck, shoulders and décolletage – Calming gel and glow mask, gentle on my sensitive skin – Lockers, Dyson dryer, hair iron and dry shampoo for after – 5–7 minutes from four stations, right by Cheonggyecheon – Heads-up: I did not get price info, so ask about prices (and Sunday hours) when you book
Whether you are a bride-to-be or just want a fresher face for your Seoul photos, Viewtae is a lovely place to be pampered. I would happily go back.
