The Yebbeum for You, Dongdaemun-gu: Professional Makeup in Seoul with a Photo Studio Downstairs
π Seoul / Dongdaemun-gu Β· Anam-ro, Dongdaemun-gu
This visit was sponsored by The Yebbeum for You. As always, all opinions are my own.
Have you ever had your makeup done professionally on a normal day β no wedding, no big event? This was my first time, and the finished look completely changed my mind. I asked for daily makeup at The Yebbeum for You, and the quality felt close to bridal makeup.

The finished look first
Here I am right after leaving the chair. The base was thin and sat close to my skin, but it still covered everything. Even under bright light nothing looked cakey, and my skin texture still showed through naturally.

My lashes were lifted naturally, so my eyes looked clearer without being too much. She recommended colors that matched my vibe, which made me even happier with the result. I was out all day and never needed a touch-up β it held until evening. For a long shoot or event day, I would not worry at all.
Easy to find: the red sign
The salon has a bright red sign that stands out even from the alley, saying “BEAUTY SALON & STUDIO.”

One important note for travelers: the address is in Dongdaemun-gu, a district in northeast Seoul. It is not the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) shopping area, so check the map before you head out.
Starting with a one-on-one consultation
They greeted me warmly as soon as I walked in. When I described the mood I wanted, she considered my face shape, skin tone, my outfit that day and the purpose of the makeup. She also asked what I usually find hard when doing my own makeup, so it felt more like a conversation than a consultation. I could tell she was bringing out my own features instead of copying a trend. I learned that this step really decides the result.

The makeup room: so many products
The first thing that surprised me when I sat down was the vanity β it is packed with products. There are several foundations from different brands, so they can match your skin tone. My skin is on the dry side, and she chose the base with that in mind.

Eyeshadow palettes and blushes come in every color family. She showed me each product she used and explained why she picked it, which was actually fun. (One product I loved has been discontinued β so sad!)

The lighting and curtains are calm, so I felt comfortable the whole time. Sitting in front of the mirror and watching the look come together meant the wait never felt boring. There is also a restroom inside the salon.
About the director
The owner holds Korean national certifications in makeup, hair and nails, plus qualifications in scalp care, special-effects makeup and updos. She has won awards at international beauty competitions, including a grand prize in the fantasy category and gold prizes in lash and wedding categories.
Her field experience is wide: big ad campaigns for Lotte World and Incheon Airport, EBS, special-effects makeup for the movie Train to Busan, Miss Korea Gangwon, makeup for T1’s Faker and hair and makeup for Miss Trot 3 cast members. Knowing that made me feel very safe.
A photo studio and nail shop in the same space
Inside there is a separate entrance to On&forU Studio (μ¨μ€ν¬μ μ€νλμ€). They do ID photos, profile shoots, wedding snaps and family photos. You can go straight from the makeup chair to the camera, so if you are planning profile or ID photos, book them for the same day.

There is also a nail shop at the back, with polish colors filling a whole wall. They told me many clients get their nails done right after makeup. Makeup, then photos, then nails β honestly a great Seoul day plan.

Zoapik’s verdict
– Daily makeup that looked close to wedding-level – Thin, clear base with real coverage β lasted all day – One-on-one consultation based on face shape, skin tone, outfit and purpose – Huge product range, so they can find colors for your tone – Great quality for the price – Makeup, hair, nails, lashes and a photo studio all in one place – Heads-up: booking is on Naver in Korean, so message them on Instagram first to check availability
If you have a profile shoot, a special day β or you just want to feel extra pretty for a day in Seoul β this is a fun place to try.
